I was born and grew up in a small country town named Chinchilla located in South East Queensland. After completing high school, I moved to Toowoomba where I attended the University of Southern Queensland. I spent far too much time at university, cutting my teeth with three of four years of a Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) and then changing into a Bachelor of IT (Networking). With a relatively small amount of the degree left, I needed a break and took a software development job with a publicly listed Gold Coast tourism business in 2004. I married my high school sweet heart Claire in 2005 and we’ve been living and working on the Gold Coast ever since. On September 4 2008, we were blessed with the birth of our first son Hugo – who is magnificent in every way.
