I was born and grew up in a small country town named Chinchilla located in South East Queensland.

I attended Chinchilla State Primary School & subsequently Chinchilla State High School. After completing high school, I moved to Toowoomba where I attended the University of Southern Queensland. I didn’t know what I wanted to do at university specifically, so started a Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) as I have three older bothers that are engineers. I spent three years doing that before realising that I had a passion for computing and changed to a Bachelor of IT (Networking).

With less than a year to go on my IT degree, I needed a break and took a software development job with a publicly listed Gold Coast hotel chain in 2004 named BreakFree. After spending four years working in IT, I left and was a founding member of the digital marketing team as an Ecommerce Analyst. The following five years would see me focusing my efforts improving the online business for Mantra Group, the largest Australian hotel chain with over 110 properties held within the Peppers, Mantra & BreakFree hotel brands. After nearly 10 years with Mantra Group, in 2014 I resigned and took a job to lead a team of talented search marketers as the head of search with Wotif Group, the largest online travel agent in Australia.

I married my high school sweet heart Claire in 2005 and we’ve been living and working on the Gold Coast ever since. On September 4 2008, we were blessed with the birth of our first son Hugo & 18th May 2010 saw the arrival of our first daughter Evie – both are magnificent in every way.
